Soy and Salad Dressings

On the 4th, we spent the day at my in-laws' house. I was supposed to bring the salad, easy enough. I run into the store to pick up the ingredients, and I try to find a salad dressing. All of them were made with soybean oil. I couldn't find one that didn't. Gross. So bad for you. The food manufacturers know this. Why do they put it in the food? Probably because most lay-people don't. They see "soy" and think healthy. But, it's filled with estrogen. If you eat too much soy (which isn't hard because they are putting it in everything we eat now) you can miss periods or have trouble with infertility. I want to avoid industrialized soy, because it can really be damaging for boys. I don't want my son to have permanent health problems from soy.

So, I guess this means no more salad dressing from the store for us. Here's a great salad dressing option that's very Caesar Dressing like.

Rebekkah's Dressing
Lemon Juice
EV Olive Oil
Parmesan Cheese
Garlic Salt
Basil Leaves

Combine all ingredients.

Easy enough!

  1. I can't believe someone so adamant about her family's health could fail to see how unhealthy dairy products (like your Parmesan cheese) are!
